Default New WWII Sub Movie

I See Where someone is making a new WWII Sub movie using the USS Drum. Can't wait to see it! Also they are making a documentary about the Drum's history. Sounds like someone has been reading my mind. Production is slated to begin in March. Check out the website:

Not sure if the movie will be any good but for the Drum, this is excellent news. She will have plenty of money to keep her up!!!!

I'd be a bit more optimistic than that - but seriously, why don't more film companies do that? A lot of historical vessels are probably thirsting for production like this, and they're all great potential movie sets. We need more movies about them, too.

Here in Baltimore MD, we have the Torsk, Constellation, Taney and the Lighthouse Chesapeake. They just used Lighthouse Chesapeake for some hour crime show that airs every week. I forget which one. Anyway, the charge to use the vessel was $250.00 per hour. When they were done, the production crew handed over $1900.00 cash. This of course went into the safe on the Taney. At present in Virginia they are making a memorial that will have things during the 60's and 70's. Cold war submarine (Torsk), carrier operations, some things on Nam. They plan on using the Torsk as part of the movie being created for the memorial. The Torsk will be closed for the day so the production crew can make this part of the movie. Cost, $250.00 per hour. We hope they use her for a few days Anyway, the need some people as actors..... ...I'm at their service
