ok revision and slight take back on rant....
personally I was a bit rash. But i cannot stress the fact that cutting her in 4, even with the promise of a permanent display area is little consolation. However I do thank the Company for saving her from the scrapyard. I ask the company to take some time and exaust every possible option before finally carrying out the plan. Could she even be made to float and be docked? i dunno. It just seems to be a big shame. Sure they say she can be put back together, but will she be the same? It seems that the statement of the ease of her re-assembly is a bit of a strech but i'm no engineer here. that is all Last edited by gimpy117; 01-28-08 at 09:44 PM. |

I think I would have sliced her down the center and then fixed the interior up to resemble how U-534 would have looked at the time of her demise. Put glass up along the side so people can peer inside the U-boat halves, and that would be good enough for me.
