How do I pick up the pilot?

I am running 1.4 stock. I have the pilots insight through the bincos, they are bouncing around in the water, boat at "all stop' doing 1 kt. The pick icon is not lit, how do I pick them up?

Do a search on this forum for "rescue" or "rescue mission." This has been discussed at length and you'll get a LOT of help.
