Default Sub vs Plane

If I have to choose between commanding a sub or a plane I'd choose the plane...here's why...

and here's a clip close to where I'm from..

watching the waves now I don't feel so surprised at 20-foot waves in SH4.

In the first clip my stomach kinda rolled. Those shells must've killed everyone in the tower of that u-boat. Ain't a pretty sight to see. But that's the nature of conflict.

What's even worse. Those that did escape were left to rot, since by the time a ship got to them (if at all) all of them would have died from hypothermia, or drowning...

I'm from the Caribbean and we got some nasty sharks out there. They wouldn't have lasted long anyway. I know they were nazis but when you strip away everything, all politics and all, you're a man and the fear is real. The u-boats did the same in leaving survivors of convoys to drown. Reality in war bites and swallows whole.

It was interesting to see life on a u-boat in the second clip. Check out how they maintain the torpedo tubes. For a second I thought the Germans ran out of torps and were going to use one of theirs as one. Imagine what damage and destruction a human torp can be. I wonder if Ducimus can fit in one of those?:rotfl:

Isn't that first clip the U505? It sure looks like familiar footage.

I dont think so it was carrier planes in repeated passes Hellcats I think
in the case of U505 I have two different documetaries on dvd covering
the capture. I think this is a different boat.

It probably was an attack from a privateer out of brazil in this case.

It certainly wasn't Capt Dan Gallery in the USS Casablanca shooting at the U-505. They certainly didn't have Liberators and I would guess that the U-boat was part of the ripples at the end. There was nothing left to capture. I have to defer to Mush's opinion that they were out of Brazil only because of the shot at the end. Otherwise, there were lots of Liberators that could have done the same thing.
