Has anybody been given orders to take part in this?
![]() I'm in a career March 1940 using GWX. I can't decide whether this is an actual mission or just a bit of radio traffic to add flavour. I did read the GWX manual and could find no reference to it. What would you do Herr Kaleun?

I've never had these before in GWX, but I'd say...
Unless you're on the tail of a juicy convoy, obey orders! ![]()

I was wondering whether I should station myself of Norway where this operation historically happened.
The thing is SH3 generater has also given me this..... ![]() [IMG]http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/ ![]() [/IMG] ![]() And it's rarely wrong. Decsions, decsions

Again the mission info there is historical info
The map markings however are as a result of reading the campaign layers and are therefore accurate Varying with the level of intel you have chosen and how old that info is |

Operation Weserubung was about to start, and Operation Hartmut was the buildup for that. If you want to take part in the proceedings, then hightail it to Narvik. I believe GWX has modelled the first Battle of Narvik on April 10, but not the second on April 13th.
Even if you miss Narvik, you'll see a TON of task forces travelling the coast of Norway. DD's and troop transports galore. I'd say it's worth it.

If you go and take a look why not report back to everyone then everyone will know if it's just a case of 'history repeating itself' or not.
![]() IIRC BBW is correct and it is just an historical message but I also believe mookiemookie is correct and there are TF's out there to do battle with ![]() |

I decided to go to Scapa 1st. SH3 generater tends to give you do-able missions and good intel.
I found these waiting.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The result ![]() Salvo of 3 in the Hood 1 in the Aux cruiser And a rear salvo for the Illustrious. We crept out still silent running and did'nt reload. Now I'm off to Norway with plenty of torps left! Will post what I find. Type IX rule!

Thanks bigboywooly.
I got very lucky in there. I think the reason it went well was that I stayed silent from the start and did'nt reload afterwards. It was very tempting, as there was so much shipping moored at the dock that 2 Type IX's would have run out of torps! Running silent so long got me into a firing position after dawn though, I really would have felt safer in the dark. My route in was from the east, then south of the carriers plotted position and out via the west using the north of the 2 passages.

Hmm...
Did'nt find much in those Norwegian waters. Too early I guess. One medium merchant, a passenger/cargo and thats it. Still I've been given new orders, just leaving port March 25th. Patrol grid AN21. Should find something juicy the timings about right.
