Reinstall - not accepting disk code

I did a reinstall of SH III (multiple tries - darn frustrated) of a game I have owned since it came out and which ran on my old computer just fine the few times I had 'er out for a cruise.
Have installed and uninstalled half a dozen times on this computer and each time have very carefully typed in the disk code ( Edited by Moderator ) with and without the dashes and every time it tells me it doesn't like it.
Have turned off the security system (Zone Alarm Security Suite Pro) to no avail. I'd really like to get SH3 going again before trying SH4.

Any suggestions?

Not a good idea to post your game serial code on a forum. Just a thought.
