Default Everything in yards except WO report

Anyone know why everything is in yards and that is great, but, when you ask watch officer for distance to target he gives it to you in feet! why cant he give it to us in yards as well, sure would make life easier...for me anyways, thanks guys. I guess you can take this number in feet and divide it by 3 to get the number in yards, does this sound right?

Yup, 3 feet = 1 yard.

I noticed the same thing. It was annoying at first, but now I just do the math without a second thought.

<shrug>

Our WO just assumes everyone knows the imperial system. He's a chicken farmer from Kansas who can't find Europe on a map.
