Default ALARM!!! Schlachtkreuzer Hood!

It is early 1940 and off the northwest coast of England a report of an enemy task force steaming north meant for the first time in 30 months of playing SH3 I had a decent chance of attacking the big ships of his majesty's navy.
However, being in a firing position to do so take extreme luck and that still eludes me as I got as close as the outer screen.

I did however get a rare chance, my first, to actually see the Mighty Hood racing north at 20knots with an old R class in tow and screened by many J class escorts. It was exiting as playing 100% always campaigns I rarely ever see anything big and while I have seen a few TF at great distances this is as close as I got (In SH4 I sank many BBs , CAs, CVs in a couple months that would have ended the real war in Mid 42)

Even at a distance just seeing this beautiful model we are fortunate to have added to our sim for our pleasure it just reminds me to once again to thank those that spent the time and effort to graciously make this nice gift to the community.

The last escort J class actually went right across my bow at 300 meters and I nailed her as my conciliation price. Madam Hood never noticed and slipped away

Herr Kaleun just went back to his qarters to wash down the pain with beer...
Lucky you you could get at least one of'em, but damn! Letting one of those escape feels frustrating doesn't it?

Not really. It would have been very unreal to get Hood and I really was just happy to see the pretty lady.

Double up with rarity, since she'll be heading for the bottom of the ocean before too long.

You wouldn't have a precise date at location for her would you? I've ALWAYS wanted to sink the mighty Hood...but never even seen her on the high seas before!
