Going through my Mobo manual it is a D915GAG with LGA775 socket.

Sadly no you can't use that processor. As you'll see in this linkie you can only put a p4 or celeron D in it.

Thought so, not that I'd really want to 3.2 Ghz is still good even now me thinks.
