Yeh, it's a pretty good game. Reminds me alot of the movie "Red dawn". It's not perfect, but it was quite a nice surprise. And for that money, it's worth to get if you ask me.

I wonder if my laptop will handle it, though

I've yet to start on the single player campaign, but I have played some online battles. Be warned it's fast paced stuff if you're anything but artillery hiding up in the mountains shelling anything you can see.
I love the opening Seattle invasion FMV though

Great game, played the open beta 12 hours in one session once, will probably buy the game soon to continue on the multiplayer ladder.
