On patrol and my TDC is seemingly stuck on the last attack run that was made. Reading 14000 yds and won't reaquire on a new target though oddly enough will pop up the target ID when a new one appears. Any ideas? No damage at all to the sub at the moment but I am now in low visibility.

Position Keeper. The big red button in the bottom right hand corner of your left hand TDC panel...the one next to "torpedo settings" Make sure you turn that off when you're done attacking a ship.

I've had to revisit this issue...this is the first time I've played since installing 1.4. Stuck TDC again, though I recalled the previous advice here and was unable to "unstick" it. So flicking the red switch would allow the range to automatically update though I recieved no speed or bearing information. Additionally, active sonar range disagreed considerably with the range showing on the TDC (TDC said about 5400 yds, active said about 2500--through the scope I would have guessed 2500 was closer to the truth given the size of the target in the scope). What gives? Any ideas, is this a 1.4 issue?

The position keeper is only going to be as accurate as the information fed into the TDC. It's not an automatic firing solution finder...it's just a tracking device. It will generate an estimate of current target position based on previously input measurements. If your range, speed or AOB inputs are off, then it will give you an erroneous current target position.
Generally the way I generate a firing solution is this way: 1. Start with the PK turned off. 2. Use the stadimeter or active sonar ping to determine a range to the target. 3. Get a speed on the target 4. Estimate AOB using your preferred method (there's lots of ways out there) 5. Turn on the PK. 6. Wait. 7. As the target comes closer, fine tune the speed, range or AOB measurements as needed. The PK will auto update based on these new inputs. 8. When I'm confident I have a fairly accurate solution, I send some torpedoes his way and hope for the best! Hope this helps!
