Default Question about realism ...

I have SHIII w/ GWX 2.0 ...

How do you OR can you change the realism ...

The reason I ask is ... I'm doin' the Naval Academy torpedo trainin' and I can't pass cause I seem to have more dud torpedos then good ones . I have run this scenario several times now and all the torpedos avalible have hit their target ...

Not sure if this is a bug or something wrong on my end but I have looked to change the realism a bit and I can't seem to find how

Soooooooooooo any help in this area would be much appreciated

I've been in this delima before, too. I believe that you have to start a new career and save it before your new realism attributes take place.
This may not be so, but I think it is. To change realism, go to the start patrol map in your career office and change it there at the bottom of the page.
The dud torpedoes are a nusicance, but you can redo the tests rather quickly. In the torpedo training most of my duds happen when I shoot at the small tanker. Try attacking on the surface, shoot 2 torps at the tanker, sink the other ships and come back to the tanker. The medium cargo ship should take 2 torps and the small ones take one each(aim for a bow shot).
In the convoy attack school, I havent had this problem as much.
good luck,
with gwx2.0 installed the hardest course is the AA gun school.

A little tip if I may.....don't bother with training, take the 500 renown and be the master of your own destiny

If you just installed SHIII I think you don't have duds checked as ON by default, so make sure those "failures" are not due to a bad AoB at the time of impact... those gave me headaches as well! take a look at the event camera and see the angle at which your eels are hitting (also, too low would be a problem as well, since the lower part of the ship's hull would bounce the torp off, a good advise, follow the torp on its way to the bottom, if it explodes, it wasn't a dud).
And YES, there's a way to change the realism on the Single Missions screen
If you do it from the Campaign, just go in there, change realism, and return to Main Menu

Thanks for the tips guys ...

After lookin' at the realism ... dud torpedos were checked I suppose GWX 2.0 makes it that way when installed since it makes for a harder more realistic mod ?

It's all good now

Thanks again

As was said go to the Change Realism settings in the (New) Career screen. But that is also in the Single Mission screen if you don't want to create a career yet. (Though I can't imagine what hurt an unused career would do.)
