NYGM and USAM

I have been trying to use USAM v69.61.1 with NYGM v3.6D. I get a CTD about 40% of the way through the initial load screen. Never get to the main menu. I run a fairly heavy mod soup, so I have stripped my active mods down to NYGM v2.5, NYGM3 New, and NYGM 3.6D. Same result. On the same hardware, USAM installs and runs fine in a heavily modded GWX3.0 installation.

I have searched and do not turn up any posts regarding an incompatibilty betwen USAM and NYGM. Is this a known problem? I did notice that there was not a mention of NYGM on the USAM release thread.
