Default GWX Night Sky Distorted

It's back!!! At least for me.

Sorry for the dark image, but basically the clouds at night are just blobs the higher up from the horizon you look. I remember this problem when I originally started running GWX(way back when) I don't remember what the fix was, anyone else remember the fix? Using the 16km mod but it's the same in 8KM.

Thanks in advance

Did you enable any mods while you were at sea? Did you enable mods without having rolldback SH3Cmdr? Usually that's the main reason for this kind of behaviour. Still judging from your picture I cannot see something wrong with it. I would suggest you change the settings of your monitor.

Thanks for the reply.

No and no.

I got a new graphics card for my birthday and I may need to mess with the settings, but 80% of those settings are Greek to me.

I did confirm that it's only at night with full cloud cover. Day, evening and morning clouds are fine

If they're Greek to you let me know what the settings say and I might help. I'm Greek myself you see :p :rotfl: :rotfl:

On a serious note I would suggest something simple: Since the visual experience of the game is fine in all weather except cloudy nights try to dim the lights in the room that you play (it helps a lot to make the screen look brighter) or try to increase the brightness of your monitor. I'm afraid there is nothing else I can suggest.

Thanks. I've been playing in a dark room since gwx came out.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with my card (Nvidea Ge-Force 7800 GS), I've tried different AA and AF settings but still no go.

I also went from a CRT to a LCD screen. Can't believe that would be the problem when everything else looks so good.

I'm not an expert on this but LCDs have been reported with visibility problems in GW1.1a and GWX in the past.
