Default Huge TF

Sorry this is going to be a long one.

It's June 43 I'm just starting to return home to Pearl around 135E 25N. I was using time comp to head home when everything bogged. My FPS is probably 1 every 3 seconds!

I saved the game and then went back to playing when I spotted enemy cruisers -light and heavy. I stopped counting them at 43. The line of sound contacts measures 17NM long there must be hundreds of them. And it's killing my FPS. Anyways after 3 real life hours I managed to break off from the TF and my FPS picked up so I saved the game again. I've now tried going 1000's of NM North or South of the last known spot of the TF but everytime I try to continue on my way back to Pearl I come across another (the same?) TF and everything slows down again. And I mean slow if I try going to the bridge it takes about 20 secs just to get there and don't even bother trying to look around.

I'm running a freshly installed SH4 with the 1.4 patch and TM and RSRD for the 1.4 patch as well. I've never had problems running this before but I've also never seen so many ships. Has anyone else run into this? I wish I had some torps left.

Gotta be a group spawning and spawning instead of 1 occurrence. Post this in lurker's RSRD thread.

Just tried that mission again starting from Pearl everything went well until I tried going home again. Pretty much the same area and the TF has so many ships the game virtually stops. I'll post in the RSRD thread.

Thanks

Sounds like the Death Star is fully operational.
