Don't worry, the first ship I sank manually was a German freighter...

You know what's weird...my first manual sinking was also a Norwegian medium cargo, I think. But I still got credit for it.

By full manual I mean, no help from sim at all. The only thing that I keep is free look.

I'm using cardboard Is-Was and GWX and paper nanometer (sic) and stopwatch from Target...

... and family who thinks I'm completely nutz.

Thats why I come here.

Steed, .... Hey, going full manual and having success for the first time is very cool. I doubt that most people take the initiative to learn the processes for manual targeting. It is certainly not an undertaking that come naturally for most.

Its, too bad you missed the opportunity to offer a kind word to a newer forum member... or at least remain silent to avoid being rude, if manual targeting is everyday fare for you.

ChrisG2100, good work mate!

Excuse me did you note the ?

Yes my first attempt ended in sinking a neutral.

So a storm came up and lasted for three days and a british destoyer jumped me and damaged the boat. I submerged to get away and at 20 meters my hull cracked and I sunk.

How long are storms suppost to last anyway???

The length of bad weather is a common complent. Sometimes I expected to see Noah sail by in an ark

There are mods and adjustments you can make to make the weather change more rapidly. A thread that was active a couple days ago in this forum had a list of changes you could make yourself, or you could do an advanced search in the SHIII Mod forum for 'weather' listed in the title
