I had to reformat/reload the comp. Somehow, Windows has renamed the docs&settings subfolder where I had my SH3 subsubfolder with saved career (which had backed up in order to copy back in). Where the subfolder used to be called eg username, it is now called usernamexyz. It won't let me change it back to username. If I copy the SH3 folder back into MyDocs under the new usernamexyz folder, will SH3 Cmdr and SH3 find the saved career? I am assuming not, as the path is different. In that case, is it possible to edit something in SH3Cmdr and/or SH3 so that they will retrieve the saved career from the new path?

It doesnt matter what is your user folder name - its still there, and its still used properly. You can even move it to another partition and it still be valid (you know as long as registry is updated with new path...). Just copy your "SH3" folder to "My documents" and dont worry about its label.
