Default Pop up picture

Does anyone know how to disable the pop up picture I have lost more subs because of that damned useless little thing, game works great untill I fire a torpedo or get depth charged then the frame rates go nuts and the mouse freezes.

Yes it is a pain, I am in the process of upgrading my unit 4yrs old, like new and out of date, just replaced hard drive to a 500g and 430 watt power supply and a vid card but not a good enough one so next is a top of the line card, motherboard and pcu and for shure I will then need different cards for the ram, I guestimate about $700.00 to do all,it just amazes me how fast these become out of date, but I suppose we are all in the same boat lol.
