Default Black sky during day??

Howdy; I am getting a pitch black sky during the day time in SH3. I am using SH3 Commander 2.7 with GWX 1.03. I have a 4200 cpu and an ATI 1950X video card. I am sure it isn't my cpu or video card as this doesn't happen in SH4. Is the culprit SH3 commander 2.7? I am really starting to think it is. This photo was taken off Gibralter at 0930 am, but I also had it off Ireland too.

The old enabling a mod with JSGME without rolling SH3 Commander back first problem. I'm not sure but, I think you have to do a reinstall to fix the problem.

It's a classic problem that you can face if you enable/disable mods while you're at sea or before Rolling back SH3Cmdr. You need a non-corrupted Scenes.dat file. Click on the link under my signature to get it (for the 8Km Atm) and paste it in the C\Program Files\Ubisoft\GWX\data folder.

This problem occurs for the following reason, mixing up the Env skycolors with wrong version of scene.dat file, usually by a mix up of the 8k & 16 atmosphere mods.

Thanks guys, will try the scene fix. I don't remember installing any mods while at sea but obviously I did. Hopefully this will work...will keep you posted.

Nope, didn't work; so I went to uninstall the game and I couldn't even do that, getting lots of error messages. So now I think that maybe registry mechanic or windows cleaner corrupted the registry files somehow?

Default What an egg head I was

Well I had just pooched my first install of GWX all together. I didn't read anything, just installed and started doing eveything I had done with the previous GW so no wonder it was all screwed up. Didn't have the SH3 commander fix from GW, messed around with my boat before the first patrol etc etc.

Boy what a chore trying to uninstall too. I kept getting installer.msi errors so I manually deleted everything but still couldn't delete or reinstall the game. Finally used MODIFY and that worked so I installed everything after reading the instructions (instructions, go figure) and I now have blue skies and I am heading to Florida for some happy times.

Questions on the patches: Are they cumulative or do you need each version? Does 1.4b contain 1.3, 1.2 etc? I tried finding the answer on this but couldn't so I DL and installed all of them in order, figuring it couldn't hurt.

GWX1.03 comes with all the previous cumulative patch releases included.

You only need 1.4b as it contains the other ones also.
