USS Bowfin

Saw a great one hour televison show on History International on the 9 war patrols of the USS Bowfin. Did anybody else happen to see it?

Wish I caught it, but I missed it. (don't have History International anyway).
But my son in law was stationed at Pearl for 6 years and I've been to Oahu about 8 times. Every time I go-I go aboard the Bowfin. She's moored there at the Arizona memorial park. I love that boat! She was nicknamed the "Pearl Harbor Avenger."

Last time I was at Oahu I was stationed with the 1st Marine Brigade as part of a Medical Company. (I did 25 years in the Navy) I also took the time to go aboard the Bowfin. I was amazed that 70+ men could live on this small boat for 1-2 months.

I was just in Ohau in June,was on a tour[unfortuneitly The Bowfin was not on it

]This is as close as I could get to her.I'm still kicking myself for not going AWOL off the tour bus!
