Default First patrol complete

Well, i completed my first patrol out from Pearl. And sunk absolutely nothing!!! I was sent to patrol the Marshall Islands and around them, and I spent over a week in transit, and some 3 weeks patrolling the islands, diving checking hydrophones etc, nothing. Not a single Japanese warship/merchant was sighted. *sigh*

got attacked by Jap aircraft though, was so bored i stayed on the surface during one attack and actually engaged them. Only damaged him though, didn't shoot him down.

The only radio reports I got were all "friendly task force located blah blah blah" WHAT ABOUT ENEMY REPORTS???? :P lol

I hope things pick up, though SH4 is a fun game and i'm enjoying it since recieving it today.....that was one boring 4+weeks patrol. lol

First mission? Starts pre-war? Not real surprising. I think I did get one target in my first mission. It gets better.

Hmmmmm....sounds like the first days of the war to me. Be sure, in your next spot the convoys will be so numerous you will think you in rush hour traffic.

Well, here's hoping when I sail out from Pearl tonight for my 2nd patrol, I find something other than empty seas :P

By the way, does anyone know of a mod for SH4 that's like Grey Wolves for SH3??

Cheers,

I think you need Taters campaign layers...

Seriously though, the consensus amongst many players here is that there is already waaay too much traffic in the stock game. So the two major mods going right now (Real Fleet Boat and Trigger Maru) will offer if anything reduced traffic.

But as AVGWarhwk said, it's early days yet. If you stick with the stock campaign, you will be flooded with targets on your next patrol.
