Using observation persicope underwater to seek out falling depth charges and avoiding them on time...is it realistic? I can do so in sh3, in gvx and in sh4 too. Noone can catch sub underwater that way if its 100m deep and Herr Kaleun can look out...Not even if 10 destroyers is circling around droping charges.

I use my obs scope to avoid depth charges, whether or not it is realistic i woulc not know. As i am a diver, i know that on any given day in the north sea or skagerak, max visibility is 5-10 meters. However, the book "Das boot" does mention the Old Man once following a dc attack on his boat by scope. Personally, i dont think it is realistic what with the bad visibility and lack of light when you go deep.
Have a nice day ![]()

If you install the GWX mod that trick doesn't work as well...
The underwater visibility is diminished considerably. |

I don't think it's realistic at all, so I don't do it. Also, though I can't use GWX yet, I've always used Commander to make the water extremely murky.
