Default Vertical sinking?

Hey
Any one you ever seen a ship go down vertically by the STERN in SH3?

I remember in AoD, i use to see them go down by the stern vertically and i am wondering if this is also possible in SH3.

I've had a couple of merchants go down steep stern first after just clipping their propeller with my torpedo, but never seen one go down vertically yet! Can't speak for warships though - I've not attacked one yet.

OK just saw my first vertical sinking - hit a C2 in the bum and took her prop off - came back later and fired another which hit her mid ships - no explosion - but the rough waves rolled her over so that her bridge was in the water!!! and then she went down by the stern vertically!! that was really neat!

Nice one. Don't often see a larger ship go down that way. The rough weather sounds like it helped.

Did this one last night:
