Japanese submarine? Impossible to sink it?

I was surprised (after so much time of playing) when the crew spotted an enemy submarine! I had never again made contact with a japanese sub. :hmm:

Well, my biggest surprise was when I tried to destroy it, I fired a few torpedos that hit it but didn't damage it at all!!

When I returned to pearl, I send a report to the Admiral to inform him that I had spend 10 torpedos for a japanese sub that didn't took any damage.
What would have happened in real life?????????????????

I have never seen a Japanese sub before!!you are so lucky, but fired 10 torps to a sub,I think it is too wasteful. If I were you,I will save them until I see battleships or carriers!

And in real life, you could hardly sink a sub, especially the sub is submerged.I think it will take you one or two torps to destroy a sub,if the torp hit the target.

There is a jap sub in game, thought you would only find it in Jap port, believe it is industractable, so don't waste fish on it.

IRL a Single torpedo would rip any sub into pieces and instantly kill anyone on board.

That's fine as long as it can't fire back.

I posted a thread about this one, back just a few weeks after the game had been released. I still have all the pictures but the links have probably been changed since then.

That was on my first port sneak. On my way out of the harbour, a destroyer ran the length of my boat and ripped himself a new one (drain plug). I was a bit miffed that I didn't get credit for the kill, since it did cost my my AA gun -- although it was manable as long as I had a repair crew on duty.
