Having trouble free SHIII/SHCOMMANDER/GWX, great fun.On patrol #8
as a newbie.Would it yet to be able to do the same with SH4? Or is it
not yet possible without a major nightmare of an effort with patches
and the such.My system would handle it I think.
Intel core 2 duo E6700 2.66GHZ 4M processor
4GB PC6400 800MHZ DDR2
Gegforce7950GT 512MB PCI-E
500GB SATA HD
500 WATT PS
WINDOWS XP PRO

Looking at your specs you would have no problems running the game.

I play it and SH3, SH4 is an enjoyable sim, if you do play it just remember that it is not SH3, it is a different experience, and as mentioned a good one at that

Yeah SH4 in fairness is reasonably enjoyable when I dabble with it... but I wouldn't choose SH4 over SH3 in a million years. SH4 even patched to 1.3 still has a myriad of stupid little bugs in it that you either ignore and carry on as normal with, or... it drives you off it like it did me.

The funniest thing I though with the 1.3 patch was that the periscopes stopped going up and down.

There is no SH4CMDR, which automatically makes it inferior.
I can't run it on my laptop; but I can on my desktop, but at a lower level.
SH3/GWX/CMDR runs great on both my machines.

It's been fixed

I prefer SH4 over SH3 anyday. I like the pacific patrols, the mission objectives and the boats. Sh3 rocks but Sh4 rocks even more
