Default Pause Game Mod when enemy contact

Hi

Can someone please show me the link or give me the mod name that stops the game when there is an enemy aircraft or vessel spotted - running at high time compression I dont have much time to repond and slow the sim down to 1 TC.

Thanks
Shelton.

if you download SH3 Commander you can set any event to match any time compression.

From the CM ;

Shelton; I was not aware you could run the game under Linux, if your interested please consider adding any specifics to the CM about that.

To good hunting.

Hi there

Yes if you look at this link - the brilliant guys at WINE got many games working under Linux!!

http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iAppId=3793

So I only have Linux running at home no more dual booting!

You've got to have a really strong machine then, right ?

I havn't even enabled 3D Acceleration under Linux as I won't use it anyways.
Played Tropico once under wine but it was slower than under Windows so I don't even try something of the caliber of SH3 .

But having Windows installed for some games is not that bad. For 2 hours of playing I don't care about 2mins of booting.

Yep. This is why Windows runs only in the evening

Hi Shelton,

Just wondering, how does the game run under Wine? Do you get the texture corruption and sound problems mentioned on that wine page, or is it all 100%?

Cheers

Hi

Well its not 100% but all the features are available - I can save, load, etc etc, the only problem is within the game in the nav window i cannot see the square box numbers so you need a external map so that you can sail to your mission objective location - I see smoke and explosions and I have some artifacts in the graphics, like the medals on the sailors are not seen and small glitches with the graphics only when on the bridge, using the external camera is a cinematic experience, especially underwater.

Also i cannot take screenshots - but i have to look at the further.

I must add that I am using a Geforce 3 ti400 so I can only guess that some of these problems may go away on a higher end card.

And these are definately not show-stoppers - So often I shake my head with awe and cant believe I am playing SH3 in Linux!! - thanks to those brilliant people at WINE.

Cheers
Shelton.

I cannot edit the page - even when I log in - the front page I am referring too.
