Default Torpedo tracks on the attack map

Hi All.

I finally decided to start a career from Pearl Harbor and noticed that the torpedo track line doesn't move when I put in an offset (x degrees left or right) with the TDC.

I've heard about the bug related to the attack map and the international date line that's been around since day one. Is this it?... and I just never noticed until now? I thought there was a work around for that though that started you west of the date line. I'm running TM 1.4 and patch 1.3, and it did drop me west of Midway when the patrol started.

So I'm confused... (and what else is new?)

Can anyone shed some light for me?

TIA

JD

My first instinct is that the attack map lines represent the TDC 0-offset solution. The offset is a manual fudge factor built on top of it which is after the TDC solution and is not shown on the attack map. I'm curious if the little torpedo icons follow the real torpedo paths or not. Put a big ol' 25 degree offset and shoot and see if the torpedo icon follows the 0-offset solution or the real metal wet tube.

As for TM placing you in the eastern hemisphere to avoid you losing those tracks. Works great if you want that bug fixed but I'm running 100% realism so I couldnt' care less about the auto attack map stuff. YOU HEAR ME DUMASCUS!!! (anger for stage effect)
