Ahoy Kaleuns,
I've read in other posts, that an enemy destroyer will fire upon other friendly ships if they are attacked by them. For example, if two destroyers are in a direct line to you and you surface, both will fire at you. The one far away can hit the one close by, and this destroyer will fire back at the aggressor, this ending up in both destroyers sinking themselves. I've tried this tactic in a harbour raid of St. Johns, but it didn't work out. I surfaced directly next to a destroyer. He started firing, but couldn't get me, as I was to close. Two other ships were firing at me and hitting the destroyer I used as a shield, and destroyed it. But the destroyer did not fire back at the two aggressors, and I wonder why? Has anyone experienced something alike?

I am not proud of this, but I'm an economically thinking Kaleun. If they shoot themselves I save more torpedoes for the freighters.
I managed to "sink" both destroyers by friendly fire, but sadly enough I was that close to the exploding second one, that my bridge was damaged, resulting in three dead sailors. May they rest in pieces, ahem, peace.
