Hello Einsman,

For me modding has been trial and alot of error. I use Paint Shop Pro 7 & Jet Audio as my foundations for modding. You may need to give more information on what you intend to mod ie; sound files, texture files etc.

Good luck with your modding and keep asking those questions.

my 'bag of tricks' includes:
  • Ultra-Edit32 version 11 (Hex editor)
  • HexWorkshop (Hex editor - DD introduced me to this!)
  • PhotoShop 5.0
  • Windows Notepad
  • FloatConvert (for converting to/from Float32 and decimal)
  • Maya
  • Wings3D
  • Pack3D
  • TimeTraveller's tools
  • Visio32 (for building heirarchy trees of the files to visually 'see' it)
  • Windows XP Calculator (for those to/from hex)

Hello again!

What knowledge is necessary to begin make moddin?
Is there any tutorial for beginners?
I have opened a file dat with SH3 editor and have seen your content (tga, etc.) But... I would like to know in detail the meaning of your content and if it imports the order of the things.

I don´t know if I have been clear with this english so poor that I have.
Sorry.

Thank you
