Weirdness with TM 1.4

Ey guy's,

I got the TM 1.4 mod.. activeted with SJGME together with the GFX and my screen stay's black a very long time, it's almost if the game trailer is running in the background without me seeing it.

Then after a while (maybe length of the trailer) by pressing "space" or "Esc" the game finaly starts to load.

Has any one have or had the same errrrrr... issue?

PS_ the game runs fine after that.

PPS_ Is there a way to shut the trailer down all together.

I usually jab the escape button as soon as that poem starts (shrug).

Yup, I unconsciously slap the spacebar as part of my SOP.

But, also enjoy Cap'n Crunches' Silent Service intro mod

Beery's RFB mod skips the trailer as well. (you could make-up a hybrid by manually copying some files)

Where exactly is this weirdness? When you first start the game? If so thats the 0kb movie files again. Idea being to disable the intro movies. If thats the problem, delete said 0kb movie files from the mod.

What I mean is:

When you start the game, normally you see the Ubi logo followed by the game trailer (which you Space- or Esc out of to speed up the loading process) then you get the loading bar and after that the main menu.

I don't see the logo nor the trailer and the Esc or the Spacebar only kicks in after 2min's or so. Prior to that the screen is black and stays black
It's almost like the game is going to crash or is preforming a massive data swap. Or (this is what I can't see) the logo & trailer are running without the option to cancel it.

Mind you, after that the game runs fine, no stottering or gliches.. FPS never drops below 60 and max's out at about 100.

Trigger Maru 1.4 removes the opening poem etc. As soon as you click on the SH4 icon, you should be taken straight to the menu screen ready to load your game. If you experience a conflict issue, you need to delete the 0kb movie files from the mod as Ducimus says.

I Had the same problem.

I just removed TM with JSME , located the 0kb movie in the tm mod folder, deleted it, reinstall TM, Problem solved.

As Steamwake says "Fly endless...Esc"

I now kind of miss the one minute wait i had before though. It gave me time to find my wiz wheels from where ever i left them. :rotfl:
