Default OT: Find the U-Boat emblem that ACTUALLY belonged to your number!

http://www.uboataces.com/ref-insignia.shtml

Over 4,000 U-boat numbers are in the bottom's database. Say your U-boat number is U-246. Just go to the bottom and select the range that it would be found in. Scroll through to learn details about your U-boat AND its fate. Besides this, the emblems can be found there. They aren't in color, but you can still use them in game after a bit of tweaking.

Happy hunting.

EDIT:
My U-Boat:

U-93 - Type VIIC
Commissioned: Jul 30 1940 Fate: Sunk Date: Jan 15 1942

Interesting stuff. I like the emblem the real U-Boat had better than the one I picked. I didn't realize I had Joachim Schepke's boat number. Cool stuff.

You mean in the Coat of Arms of Bolivia? In that case, no, it's not a goat, it's a "llama", typical animal of the "Andes Region" in Southamerica. Thanks for asking and noticing it too.
Oh, BTW, gladly will do the emblems... I hope nobody does them first.

Very nice find!

I've briefly looked through equipment pages to read about radar warning dev. and once more it strikes me, that we shouldn't be using all that fancy stuff in sh3... I don't use engine upgrades or battery upgrades (with LRT mod that have much reduced effect anyway). We shouldn't use any coatings also. Radar? Hmm sometimes? How many boats were C/3 type? There were only few U-Flaks and all served as escorts.

Which file defines which toys should be assigned to a new boat/career?

Get an authoritive book or visit a descent website for info on each individual boat

Not dissagreeing with Steve here because Evil Jester 76's emblems pack is the most comprehensive one available IMHO
Please be advised though, there are less than 190 emblems in that pack (as an example, if you click on my sig and download the file entitled 'relic', you will get one that isn't included 'U-977' courtesy of Ref).
The link below will take you to a definitive book source with over 700 examples (some people say the source for uboataces)

http://www.worldwartwobooks.com/product.php?xProd=1171

I own a copy and can thoroughly recommend it (also has write ups about each emblem/insignia)
