Which mods for GWX1.03?
Hello there,
I recently installes SH3 1.04b with GWX 1.03+SH3 Commander.... Of course, this forum are so great that a newbie like me wants to set up all your fantastic mods (a great thank for the modders). ![]() Finally, I have some troubles to heard crew voices... ![]() Some of you have advised to remove a couple of mods but which? Then I'm asking for your experience: - In order to have an ideal and realistic simulation, which mods in your opinion are compatible and indespensable for GWX 1.03? I'm waiting impatiently for your recommandations and configurations, so I thank you all for your time... Take care

Hi,
on top of GWX 1.03 I use: (at first some GWX included optional mods) - GWX Captain Am. Officer Icons (look just better than the heads of the officers) - No Medals on crew (more realistic) - Lite Harbour Traffic (my pc is to weak for the full package of ships, that would give framerates about 5fps ![]() - Open Hatch Mod - Bordinstrumente 1.0 (just to fix something with the textures of interiors, don't know what messed them up, was fine directly after installing GWX but some mod must have done this) - 6_dials_nygm22 or also called: MyFavouriteDialMod (looking reeeeeaaaally great and way better to use than the small default dials in the lower right corner) - Precise Range Ruler (for the nav map) - GWX Assisted Plotting Mod (corrected version) also installed but not in my JSGME list: - "KKptzS dasBoot SoundFeelingMod1.2" - a nice gramophone mod, but sorted some of the annoying army songs out ![]() Hope you can use some of these. /)) |

Welcome aboard. There are hundreds of mods and most of them are individual as to taste. I suggest you do a fresh install of SHIII patched to 1.4b with GWX 1.03 and the current JSGME. Save this to a seperate location. Do the same with SH3CMDR, and the combined skin pack. Then if you screw up the install, you just copy it back and start over There are several mods iincluded in the GWX download; try them. Now DL some mods, and install them by JSGME only, so you can reverse any changes you don't like. A few to try: interface: 6 dial slide out; consul slide out; various officer faces. Reeces' scene IV for III. Game play: spy sat; Montat's mod; Sound: gramophone mods; speech mods; Mentat's Sound collection

I also prefer realism:
The basis: GWX 1.03 with reduced buoyancy and int orders, SH3 cmdr 2.7, JSME, Additional: Elite uniforms, some of Einbeckers sounds, Will be putting on more gramaphone songs when I can find them. Looking into radio/news broadcasts that work in gramaphone and are date related. Still trying to work out if the 16/km visible radius is a realism or cheat!!!!! |
