Default Can't....resist...

Its no use, no matter how much I play SHIV, I can't get used to the lack of immersion...in SHIII I used to crash dive just to listen to benard go AAALLLLLAAAARRRRRMM!!!!!!!!!!! On SHIV you just get "crash dive"...WE ARE UNDER ATTACK AND ARE GOING TO DIE PUT SOME FEELING INTO IT MAN!! lol :rotfl:. Anyone else got the same thing? Back to my night watch in the cold, wet north atlantic! Bring it on! :p

I agree with you 100%
In SH4 you feel like playing a game, while in SH3 it's like living it....

I look forward to perhaps the GWX team doing their magic on SHIV, although GWX for SHIII has been such a feat I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to call it a day after 1.04!

This is indeed one of my biggest beefs with SH4....the lack of immersion.

Feels very lifeless compared to SH3 (modded). Quite surprising considering the "interactive crew" was one of the major selling points of SH3 as I recall. Too bad.

Things may change as the modders get cranked up but. for me, as of right now, SH3 (GWX) is by far the better sub sim.

After 3 patrols to the same place to do recon, then get back and career ended.........WTF?

I'll stick with SHIII and GWX.

Very much agreed. SH4 is a mess compared to SH3 GWX'd.

Maybe it's just me but Sh4 comes across as sterile. I concur with the post you "live" Sh3 but "play" Sh4. Immersion is a big factor for me. I dunno, maybe I'm in the minority there. Sh3 does this immersion stuff well, and with GWX it's like you really are "lliving" it. Super experience.
