Can't play the Game!!!!

I have had this game sice its release and have played it many times before but I just recently bought a new computer did all the updates including SH4 and now when it starts I can only get as far as the mission screen before it crashes and closes. I get this in the errror report C:\DOCUME~1\Nikki\LOCALS~1\Temp\7742_appcompat.txt
I have know idea what to do. I run a brand new Sony Vaio with a 2.8ghz pentium 2gigs mem. geforce 7700 512mb graphics card and a soundblaster audigy soundcard.
