Mod for the ranks on uniforms?

Would it be possible to make a mod where the rank badges are on the crew uniforms just like in SHIII?
They really had different color uniforms during the WWII?
Thanks.

Fortunately they hadn't the same uniforms, do you imagine US petty officers with an eagle holding a swastika on their cap? I was talking about the crew of the same US sub, some have blue uniforms other gray, what the hell does it mean?

These mods does not exactly changes the colors of the uniforms from the stock game, but rather improves and enhances them. If you have some pictures or example of what you have in mind I will be more then happy to look in to it.

Best is some pictures from the time of crew/officers etc.

Cheers!

I don't know exactly how they were looking at this time but I will do some research. If I found something interesting I'll tell you.
Do you think it's also technically possible to add the petty officers ranks on their shoulder ?

I am not sure they actually had those on board. I have not yet seen a pic showing that (sorry I am a reality freak :p )

Officers and Chief Petty Officers have kahki (brownish-greenish) uniforms. Enlisted men (including Petty Officers, but not Chiefs) wear blue. These are work uniforms; on shore everyone wears dark blue or white, depending on the season. Though the colors are similar the uniforms are not. Here is more about U.S. Navy uniforms than you ever wanted to know:

The Navy has to have the most complicated set of uniforms and associated regulations of any military branch. :rotfl:
