Type II Upgrades

I've started a new carrer and I'm using a dinky little IID, and I'm just wondering when are the engine upgrades, hydraphone ugrades
radar upgrades, sonar, batteries ect. ect (I'm planing to survive until 1945 so i'll need all the upgrades I can get

Or is the type II limted in the Upgrades it can get

??

The II boats are limited in available updates, but if you press the ? mark in lower right corner in the update screen you will get the full tech tree for all boats
