Default Penang career (bug?)

Whenever i start a career in Penang & i go back to restart a save they're not there so i have to start career again. Penang is a second career first one is in lorient so is this the reason - should only 1 career be going at one time?
Running vista, SH3Cdmr 2.7, gwx, & and a few skins.

Oh where is Arafura? Can't find it on the map

Probably doesn't matter, since you get no credit or renown for getting there anyway.

Lost count of how many useless patrols I spent heading out to my designated area. Stuff that, make your own patrol destination.

Everything fix. When i went back in Save games are there, maybe it didn't work last time cause i saved mid patrol.

I saw a taskforce show up on the map but lost it giving chase

I love my IXD2

Because the area is outside of the SH3 Grid system, it's impossible to have the game award renown for reaching/completing patrol areas.

There's no point asking SH3Cmdr to change your patrol grid for you, as there are no grids.

Just do your own thing.

The reason for going to the pacific is for the convoys. There are lots of them.

ok got it. Funny that i just spotted a convoy now, well not spotted got her on sonar, heading 342 straight to me as i lay in wait, problem is its foggy as hell up on the surface & last patrol i attacked a small convoy not only did i get wracked good but that wasn't enough they then send in aircaft to try finish me of while tailing it on the surface lost 4 good men and crawled back to base. So this time im more the wiser

Stay Deep, creep to periscope depth and fire a spread then tail it! :rotfl:

You can edit your basic cfg while in Penang or the Black Sea

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\GWX 1.04\data\Cfg

[RENOWN]
RenownReachGridObjCompleted=200
RenownPatrolGridObjCompleted=200
CompletedPatrol=100 <------Change to 500 to make up for not being able to do the 2 above

Do only while in port and make sure you rollback SH3commander first

Oh and when you get back the Fr or Ge bases then change it back

That's one way, although I would recommend SH3Cmdr users do it this way...

Open \SH3 Commander\Cfg\Static settings.cfg file and add the line:

RENOWN|CompletedPatrol=500

underneath RENOWN|SecondRankRenown=350 in the [data\Cfg\Basic.cfg] block.

Less likelyhood of game-file corruption this way, plus you are ensured that your setting will be used regardless of any subsequent installed mods.
