I have been trying to no avail to change the model of the normal jacket worn by crew in clear weather for the jacket for the storms (With no hat), so I can colour it grey and have a nice looking leather coat like they used in RL on the bridge (Except in the warm seas). The game always crashes when I replace the graphics....has anyone done this before or has an idea how to it?
A crew with long grey leather jacket and dark blue cap in the conning tower is a lovely view for those Atlantic/North Sea patrols, if it could be achieved :hmm:

i guess you`d have to replace the model in body01.dat with a copied version of the coat body in body02.dat as the raincoat uses a different body model, it`d be easy enough to change the texture on the coat to grey leather, just edit the .tga with photoshop etc...
i may have a crack at this myself when my current patrol is over. |
