Default Think I'm developing a Death-Wish

I'm getting cocky now. I'm on my eleventh patrol playing DID and all the extras turned off (except external camera. I like explosions!) My tonnage bag is a little too impressive and the bridge watch have more decorations than that fat flyboy Goering. So naturally I've now started messing with the escorts.

I got careless with my periscope whilst waiting in the path of a convoy on my last patrol and a couple of Black Swans came up to get me. I spent about 2 hours underwater with depthcharges going off around my ears and the damage control party running from one end of the boat to the other trying to stop the flooding. I was rising and sinking like a yoyo. I blew so much ballast that the compressed air ran out and I thought I was gone but the crew stopped the flooding just in time. I eventually limped off at 1 knot and returned to base. Best patrol ever. Didnt sink as much as a trawler but I really enjoyed myself

Which explains why I'm now running at flank speed ahead of a convoy with two corvettes picking up speed behind me and getting ready to dive... or die possibly:hmm:
The lookouts look less than happy

This is going to end in tears before bed time if you ask me:rotfl: The men in the boats with guns have no sense of humour and get very irrate if you insist on winding them up

I dont know whats happening to the Royal Navy these days. Thats not how you depth charge Their heart just didn't seem to be in it. Very disappointing.

Now having said that I fully expect to get sent to the bottom as retribution for my cockiness:hmm:

well, you could try and turn into those pesky escorts go to pd, fire off all your forward tubes, and if that doesn't work, go to flank speed, still go straight for him and just when he's about 50 meters away, blow ballast and go right down his throat, they'll never see it coming

or you could try the Med, go loiter off Valetta harbor and sink anything warshippy that moves, at one point I had 17 different warship contacts there at the same time , all moving...

Heck, if you're bored, run surfaced during daylight at two or three knots... through the English Channel.

I guarantee a life of excitement... though it may be a short one.

Well I'm still a chicken**** at heart it appears. Just ran into a destroyer escort group consisting of 4-5 frigates and destroyers. The perfect opportunity to tug the tigers tail.... I went very very silent and very very deep

One has to know ones limits

Mmm...its not that bad...if you want to have a dead wish go flank speed right into a H&K group stay on surface and mount the deck gun!

Whew, that was close... glad you got over your momentary lapse of reason, man. There's bravery, yeah... but there's also suicide!
