Hi, I noticed that the size of the sun from the free cam view is nearly twice the size as from the deck view!

This is one thing that has always annoyed me. But I'm almost never on the bridge and at least it does not alter gameplay.

I actually don't have ROW. I'm waiting for a TM friendly version.

The ROW camera's makes the sun and moon as close to the same size in all the outside views as possable. But as you move them out of center view the size and curve of the objects change a bit. We did the best we could with the camera view of the objects issue. The Angular-Angle setting is the key and in the ROW camera's they are all set to 75deg. In stock they are all differnt values. We used the Bridge view angle as the base setting.
Everything revolves around the camera and the view you are using in the game. So most visual issues are usuay camera operation and setting related when it comes to most objects in the game. Unless the object it's self is not set to render very far in the first place. There is only one setting for actual size of the sun and moon in the game. But you can adjust them to change size as they move from the horizonal line to there highest zenith and back down again. I did this in the ROW mod. Lowered there size a bit from stock and then made it so they get smaller as they slowly rise then come back to main size setting once they are at the horizonal level again. It was the only way to create the eye view illusion we get in real life when looking at them vs other objects on the horizon to compair with. Last edited by leovampire; 12-06-07 at 07:04 PM. |
