Default The Little Bell on My IID

I have what looks like a little brass bell on my IID, on the aft of the ship up on deck. First of all, I wish I could ring it. Secondly, what purpose did this little bell serve?

I really wish I could ring that little bell.

Heheh, good point. I wish I knew what it was for. Doesn't seem too bright to be all about stealth with a little brass bell hanging off your boat....

I imagine it is just a holdover from "the ship's bell." Every ship had one... and for wreck divers, it is one of the most valuable/sentimental things you can bring back.

I didn't know Bernard was a Chuck Berry fan.

Warships all had ship's bells. They were rung to signal time to the ship so the crew would know when watch changes were due. The pictures the devs used were probably taken pre-war.

Forget that lame bell. I want brass wind chimes on my boat. Maybe some plastic pink flamingos and an aluminum lawn chair or two on deck, too, with some nice lace along the conning tower and baby's breath around the binnacle.....

I want to make my little boat look nice for my men.
