I was just awarded a new boat...USS Drum.
I noticed it has (2) AA gun emplacements...from the (1) I had on the USS Spearfish. I also notice that when the crew goes to Battlestations, the fwd gun is not manned and there is NOT a provision in the crew list for a 2nd AA gunner. Does the one gunner go back and forth? Is there a mod that fixes this. Seems kinda odd that they would leave a man out, especially a place on the crew list for crew designation. Thanks. Does anyone know where I can get a skin for the USS Drum? There is one in the Mod Section, but im unclear if the bugs have been worked out of it.

Can you man the extra AA gun yourself? This sounds like the problem that occurs with the deck gun having no crew slots. Perhaps this solution will help:

I can man the fwd AA gun myself.
What is missing is a crew member slot for that gun. I also read that you can place your deck gun fwd or aft before getting underway?

Well that sounds like the same problem others have had with the deck gun. You can mount the deck gun forward or aft, but if you don't fill the crew slots before putting to sea the crew won't be able to man the gun. Try filling the crew slots for that new AA gun in port and see if that helps.

tried that and no luck. One crew member for (2) AA guns. STupid.
I moved my deck gun and now im having the issue w/ the "No station to man" my crew members to remotely take over the gun. Hope there is an fix out there.

Yeah, I browsed around the forums and it looks like no one has identified a reliable solution for this thing as yet.

Where there is what appears to be a persistant problem, but it doesn't happen to everybody, then I have to ask if there is a mod causing the problem combined with not assigning crew at port for the extra equipment.
There are single and quick missions with two AAA guns which have crew assigned to them when the mission starts. The positions remain operational through the duration of the game. Try loading these preset missions and see if the problems are still there. If not, then I would be asking a lot more questions about mods, corrupted campaign saves, corrupted game, etc. -Pv- |
