Periscope lock distance with GWX?

Hello once again my fellow Kaleuns:
This time I would like to ask a question:
Before using GWX 1.03, I was playing with GW1.1 and I noticed that, given the ideal condition, of course, my periscope would lock on a target at +/- 6000 meters.
Now with GWX it is possible only at less than 5000 meters and I say again, with really optimal weather conditions.
Now, is there a way to modify it so I can increase the range at which my periscope locks on a target? Could you please be kind enough to show me how?
