Well, if the expansion pack had some really cool stuff, then yes I would.
But!
I think after the Foo Pah on Ubi's part some compensation is in order, perhaps a light priceing index would be nice with the patch included.
Would be a good money making scheme for them though, business is rough gotta make them bonz

Yes, In fact I would pay for four different ones! This may be a much better way of getting Ubi to fix SH4 taking a "carrot instead of the stick" approach. It would also mean that "our" devteam would not be split up as happened after SH3 development finished.

I would like expansion packs which offered:

wolfpack attacks
playable Japanese units
playable destroyers
all submarine comparments modelled

The initial release needs to be patched before UBI ever gets a dime from me again. Good faith goes only so far.

But I would buy any and all expansions after a good patch.

An expansion doesn't neccesarely have to be from UBI,Grey wolves(as far as i know)was also not from UBI,although it has a link to the SH3 1.4 patch.

Even though it is massive, and includes new content, I think of GW as a mod, not an expansion, with no offense intended. I guess simply because it started as a lot if independant mods, ideas and discoveries, and then reached a critical mass and congealed into this new uberborg mod expansion thingie. I'm not sure exactly when it became self aware.

But point taken.

GWX is an expansion with various mods included, as over a million lines of code were written to accomplish this. It was no small task by the GWX Dev team.
