counting patrols

I have 5 patrols in, but at the end when I get the medal, it always says during my 0 war patrol I saved humanity, ended world hunger and remembered to put the toilet seat down every time, or something like that. It always says 0. My crew get medals but are never able to be promoted. The captains log shows the correct number of missions and the correct number of ships sunk so I'm pretty sure I'm in career mode, I must be because I also show up on the leader board.
On the medal thing, I'm sure this has been commented on but whats one more? I would think to get the 'wounded medal'....sigh.....you have to be wounded. But last patrol the escorts never got close to me, nobody was hurt as a result of enemy action. But I had 5 to give out. When I clicked on one, the entire crew was hi-lighted as deserving.....Seems to me that should be pretty cut an dried, you were wounded or not. If we cant call it the right name at least lets give it out under the right circumstances.
Anyway, I think I need to have my patrols counted to get my crew promoted. Thanks in advance for any thoughts...

Same sh*t happends here... And for the same reason (as *I* think and I'm mostly sure about it after I've had a look at the savegame files for the past 3-4 days) you will be mothballed later on in the game when you'll be transferred to Australia in 1943. Enjoy while you can! :rotfl:

I'm on patrol 5 out of PH. I have not been mothballed yet. I'm attempting to stay out for months on end. Sneek back to PH for refit and head out under the cover of darkness. THEY'LL NEVER CATCH ME TO SEND ME PACKING I HAVE A WAR TO WIN

i've noticed arrows on several crew, but on ending a test patrol, having refit probs

, none can be promoted, altho the cpt. did get a medal.

I'm currently on patrol lucky #13 out of PH. I haven't been mothballed and it is August of 1943. I also haven't taken the Sub upgrades, as I'm perfectly happy with my Gato. She may not dive as deep, but she's a tough old bird. (well, fish, actually. USS Drum. Maybe musical instrument? IDK)

This goes toward my theory that the forced retirements are caused by the Submarine upgrades. If people were just happy with their current equip.... : )

Yeah, the mothballing process starts first with the moving to the Asiatic front (and maybe only if you get the Balao).

You're still in PH, but let us know what happends when you'll get transferred to Brisbane and then Flemantile
