GWX stopped loading =(

This is damn peculiar. I just tried to start GWX and all I get is a black screen with the hour glass icon but the game won't load. I don't even get the GWX splash screen.

I've made no changes to my SHIII directory and I uninstalled all my mods but it still won't load. I even scanned my hard disk but no errors were found. Any ideas as to what's going on? I hope I don't have to nuke my directory and reinstall.
