Was it just a skin or a dat you are using for the sub ?
It may be the dat is an old one and not compatable with the mod you are running |

Hi BBW, I do get myself in deep water sometimes!
![]() Turm9c_4_hd.dat Turm9c_5_hd.dat and the U-boats (all) are stock or Furbars? I'm never sure of the relationship of the various files but since the two I mention are in the "Objects folder", I replaced all the other stock u-boat files here but for some reason overlooked these, I would presume this may be the problem. I'm basically running GWX with stock u-boats. ![]() Thanks. Edit: Just discovered that these two files don't exist in stock, maybe I should just delete them?

Hi Reece, that's your radar detection plating. I would imagine that these are controlled by the sensors.dat file.
When you say you are running GWX with stock u-boats, what do you mean? If you have GWX & have just copied the relevent files from stock then you are going to get lots of problems. IIRC, Ref has changed nearly all the dat files for GWX, for reasons like Cable Fixes, Floating DG, Rotating RDF, Rotating Radar & Compass Fix aswell as more minor fixes. I'm not sure that this will be easily fixable. Answer me this: Where are the U-boat DAT files from? Where are the skin textures from & what format are they in?

Hi Dan, the submarine\NSS_Uboat9c folder contains mostly stock files, I did remove Furbars files but still the same, obviously there is a GWX file external to this folder that has the "radar detection plating", if I had to guess it is probably a library file.
![]() I don't like upsetting GWX modders but I find the bouyancy issues & trying to keep the u-boats level a pain! I guess this plating problem may exist with other u-boats. ![]() GWX added u-boats such as NSS_Balao are still there just the stock ones copied over, as I said the game thus far has been excellent, problem just seems to be the plating. ![]() Thanks.

![]() Quote:
Reece you have a conning tower file from stock or other mod, as all sub files are heavilly modded on GWX if you change one there's a good chance you're messing with something, if you wan't to use another skin you must extract the TGA file from the non GWX dat file with pack3d and just drop it in the textures folder. On second thought, it could also be the wrong sensor files (library dir). Ref |
