Hi,
I just installed Windows XP x64. All seems to work ok but when i try to load Silent Hunter III, I get an error (incompatible OS, I think). I've been searching at this forum and the web and didn't see a solution... I tried NOCD .exe, compatibility to "Windows XP" o game .exe, and doesn't work... Anyone can help me? Thank you very much... :p PS.- Sorry about my english... ![]() |

I had the same problem, I've been using Win XP Pro x64 for 8 months now. The Anti-Copy software thing in the DVD-ROM doesn't recognize XP x64 as a valid OS. The only way around it (at least from what I've tried) is by a no-CD patch.

When I use the NOCD I get the error: "3d engine can't initialize"
Should it be a video driver or directx problem? Kptlt. Siegmann, can you tell me what nocd are you using? (in mp if this is not allowed by forum rules). Thank you very much, |

There is either an update to the Starforce Protection Driver for Windows XP x64 or use the Starforce removal tool.
You may find some of the legitimate answers here - http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=105144 or use Google for the other type of answers. ![]()
