Default S-18 flank speed low

Hello All,

I have a strange issue with the S-18 flank speed being too low, only 9-10 knots (I am still on patch 1.1 due to a patrol). After being submerged it can go up to 11 knots, but then fall back to below 10 knots. This must be a bug, or?

I have this, too, same sub class. My sub has been damaged by the ocean floor before.

I think this is a feature of damaged equipment and crew.

I just got 13 kts in an undamaged S boat, light to moderate seas. Looks to be OK.

From the little information there is out there on the S-class, they all seem to mention a figure of 1 to 2 Knots faster both surfaced and submerged for the S-Class.

Take this as one example:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_...lass_submarine

"Speed: 14.5 knots (27 km/h) surfaced; 11 knots (20 km/h) submerged"

EDIT: Or this

http://www.hazegray.org/danfs/submar/ss123.txt

Speed:

Surfaced: 14.5 k.

Submerged: 11 k.

OK, this might be it for me also. My mission began with dropping of a few people at a beach near Manila, so I stranded the sub and then reversed out to sea again. I checked the damage screen but it does not show any damage...
