US Submarine movies

So what's out there for the US side? SH3 had Das Boot as the movie of reference, what is there for SH4? Something other than Petticoat, I want gritty true stories and such

Pretty Hollywood but (shrug) its the first one that comes to mind.

Torpido run
made in 1958 in colour
stars glenn ford as a captain
of a sub that trys to sink an Aircraft Carrier
but hits and sinks a freighter that the japs are using as a shield
for the Carrier and his wife and child are on the freighter
all though its in colour i don't think it techincolour because it not
all that good and i have seen the same film in black and white
